Tatyana Mestechkina, Ph.D.

Clinical Training:​
Dr. Mestechkina completed her clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy, an internationally-known practice that specializes in the evidence-based treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. There, she was trained and supervised by Dr. Steven Phillipson, an expert in OCD treatment.

She completed her pre-doctoral externships at Hofstra University’s Student Counseling Services, as well as the Institute for Rational Counseling. Dr. Mestechkina has also treated patients in specialty clinics including the Phobia and Trauma Clinic, Anxiety and Depression Treatment Clinic, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Clinic, Child and Parent Psychotherapy Clinic, and a Forensic Psychology Lab.

Education and Research:​
Dr. Mestechkina earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University, an APA-accredited program and winner of the “Outstanding Training Program” award from the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). She received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has contributed to research in interventions for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), body image concerns, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) development, and cross-cultural parenting. She is a published author and has presented her research at national conferences, including the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).

Teaching and Supervision:​
Dr. Mestechkina provides clinical supervision and training to licensed and unlicensed clinical psychologists as well as student clinicians. She has taught psychology courses at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus, Brooklyn College, and Baruch College.

Norah Wallace, Ph.D.
​
Clinical Training:
Dr. Wallace completed her predoctoral internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) in their child and adolescent training program. At UBHC in Newark, she worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults who had experienced trauma, as well as a variety of other presenting problems such as depression, OCD, eating disorders, and behavioral issues. She participated in multiple levels of care at UBHC, working in the partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, as well as outpatient department. Dr. Wallace completed her postdoctoral training at a group private practice specializing in the treatment of OCD. There, she received further specialized training in ERP, the gold standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD spectrum disorders while continuing to gain experience with eating disorders, anxiety, and trauma work.
Dr. Wallace completed externships throughout graduate school at Newark Beth Israel’s Regional Diagnostic Treatment Center (RDTC) serving child victims of physical and sexual assault, Fairleigh Dickinson’s Center for Psychological Services working with individuals across the lifespan with a variety of presenting problems, and Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute’s Children’s Day Unit, a partial hospitalization program for high school students struggling with school refusal and significant mental health issues. Throughout her graduate program, Dr. Wallace also participated in a comprehensive training program for eating disorders led by a leader in the eating disorder’s field. She was trained in enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E) and family based treatment (FBT) for the full spectrum of eating and feeding disorders. She has also developed expertise in utilizing ACT and features of DBT for eating and feeding concerns. Dr. Wallace is passionate about helping individuals of all body sizes in their struggles with eating disorders and disordered eating alike, and operates from a health at every size (HAES) perspective, with a commitment to combating anti-fat biases in her practice.
Education and Research:
Dr. Wallace received her BA from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She obtained both her MA and PhD from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Clinical Psychology Program. Her research interests include investigating factors of resiliency such as character strengths that can help protect individuals exposed to trauma or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) from developing pathology related to these experiences. Dr. Wallace is a member of the NYC-CBT Association.

Michelle Feder, Psy.D.
​
Clinical Training:
Dr. Feder completed her pre-doctoral internship at Zucker Hillside Hospital, Northwell Health where she developed skills in treating a variety of psychiatric conditions. She provided individual and group evidence-based therapies in outpatient, partial hospital, and inpatient settings to individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, perinatal-related disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and psychosis. She had the opportunity to practice several specialized cognitive-behavioral therapies, including CBT for psychosis, recovery-oriented cognitive therapy, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches.
Dr. Feder also gained extensive training in CBT through her two-year training in Yeshiva University’s Parnes Clinic where she provided individual therapy for a diverse population with presenting problems such as OCD, social anxiety, GAD, ADHD, and depression. Dr. Feder’s other clinical placements included New York Presbyterian-Westchester Division where she provided CBT on the psychotic disorders inpatient units, NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens in the adult outpatient department where she worked with adults with a range of diagnoses and life challenges, and at Zucker Hillside Hospital’s OCD Center and Bipolar Disorder Center where she gained specialized training in ERP for OCD and in interpersonal and social rhythms therapy (IPSRT) for bipolar disorder.
Education and Research:
Dr. Feder earned her B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University with a major in Psychology. She earned her Psy.D from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University and was awarded the Jeffrey Sage Memorial Award for Excellence in Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Feder's research interests include enhancing and validating CBT interventions for OCD, including ERP and ACT. Her doctoral research focused on evaluating the impact of a values articulation exercise on willingness to try ERP among individuals with OCD who did not have prior experience with ERP.

Aliza Goldstein, Psy.D.
​
Clinical Training:
Dr. Goldstein completed her predoctoral internship at Northwell Health’s Zucker Hillside Hospital where she developed skills in treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders. She had the unique opportunity to train on a perinatal inpatient unit and as part of the perinatal outpatient clinic team where she treated pregnant and postpartum women suffering from postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and OCD, postpartum psychosis, and perinatal-related trauma. She was also a team member of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-focused inpatient unit, where she provided individual and group therapy which focused on building skills such as emotion regulation, mindfulness, and relationship effectiveness.
Dr. Goldstein has gained advanced training in CBT from Yeshiva University’s Parnes Clinic where she provided individual therapy for a diverse population with presenting problems such as social anxiety, panic disorder, depression and PTSD. Her other clinical experiences include externships at SUNY Old Westbury’s Counseling & Psychological Wellness Center, where she treated young adults with depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and developmental and relationship issues, Zucker Hillside Hospital’s geriatric psychology training program, and SCO Family Services (a residential treatment facility for adolescents).
Education and Research:
Dr. Goldstein earned her B.A. from Yeshiva University’s Stern College with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She earned her Psy.D from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University.
Dr. Goldstein's both clinical and research interests include challenges in romantic relationships and dating. Her doctoral research focused on navigating transitions that occur in long-term romantic relationships and ways partners cope with decreases in certain emotional experiences such as passion.
